It's always a difficult thing releasing a film for public viewing, aespecially a stop motion endeavor... it's a long, drawn out process, and tought going most of the time, especially for indy folks working with little resources.
In that, I find it especially gratifying when a fellow filmmaker & animation person wants to see my personal work, then enthusiastically supports the work. It's a great feeling when a film is welcomed and appreciated by your friends and co-workers, especially folks I deem as amazing artists in their own right.

In that, my friend RON COLE, director/ creator of the amazing stop motion film
'In The Fall Of Gravity'
(Winner, Best short Film, NY Film & Video Festival, 2008), has kindly written a review of our little film, The Pit and the Pendulum! What Ron has to say about The Pit and the Pendulum;
"...Yesterday I was thrilled to receive my copy of
Ray Harryhausen Presents: The Pit and the Pendulum! I couldn't get the package open fast enough in anticipation to see it.
Marc Lougee directed this 7 minute film which is BEAUTIFUL to say the least! The animation is superb and the musical score echos every frame in wonderful accompaniment. The photography (along with some nifty digital effects) is amazing. For stop motion fans, this film doesn't disappoint in the area of behind the scenes bonuses, there are interviews with all the key players involved in the production including a lengthy chat with the key animator.
I can easily tell you that the disk is well worth the purchase price and out of five smiley faces, I'll rate it...(five smiley faces).
The director Mr.Lougee is a guy I'm lucky enough to know, having worked at the same studio as he did years ago. He's a busy guy but, I'll drop him a note and see if I can get him to pop in here to give you a word or three about the film. In the mean time, take my word for it, it's a good buy! Marc has been touring the festivals with it for about a year and a half and the film just became available to buy on DVD so,
get yourself a copy!"
