A life of reading comic books (which are really just storyboards) and playing video games (anyone remember the Commodore 64??) has immersed me in the world of make believe. A technology consultant by day and a screenwriter by night (weekends too, depending on my schedule), I sometimes feel like I’ve satisfied that childhood yearning for that superhero alter ego. As a technology consultant, I have built 360 degree video immersion rooms with rear projection and I have maintained large databases and E-commerce sites. As a college student I studied History and Religion, mainly for the stories involved in both.
This jack of all trades lifestyle has left me with what I feel is a well rounded approach to screenwriting. You would be surprised how much relational databases, file structures, and html code have in common with putting together a script that flows. Now add a background in reading about and understanding histories stories and ancient belief systems. This combined background has enabled me to write screenplays in the “Sci-Fi” and “History” film Genres.
I have one Sci-Fi Script that is the first in a series and I am currently working on the sequel. I also have another Sci-Fi Script that is actually an adaptation of one of my favorite Novels. One of my favorite scripts I have written is a story dealing with early aviation combat. This script has lead me down the development phase of a story from the old west that many people seem to have forgotten about, one of the wild west’s wildest tales.
My focus is on my own projects of course, but I’m always open for more? I have been contracted to write scripts from the ground up in the past and I am always willing to take on script rewrites too.
Thanks Sean. That was a fairly different kind of score for me, mostly, and I had real fun doing it. My current goal is to find LOTS more projects like that one to sink my teeth into...
Ah 6 mos? That's nothing....my hubby just got a job after two years. Its amazing what you can survive that you think you never would. Good luck. I know that pain. What do you do?
Hello Again Timeis....er...Sean! Good to hear from you. You know, I haven't been on this site for a good while, as Facebook has been my recent obsession. As a result, I'm not sure what pix you were asking about. The pink hair photos? If so, that was from a job last summer in Orlando where I was a disembodied visionary, interacting with the CEO and other presenters for this medical company. It was fun, but I had to stick to a script vs. the original plan of allowing me some ad lib ops. Oh well...corporate America for you. Hope all is well by you. ~ Sallie
Hi Sean - yes there's still a writers group and if you go to the main page you'll see the link there I believe - our page which is free to join is http://indiefilm.meetup.com/172 and I also recommend www.zonie.com. now on my site - the indiefilm.meetup site - if you contact Jon Bonnell - he's the main writer guru for the IFP and he's wonderful - you can also contact Chris Miller another member and you can do this all directly through the site - just like here. Both of them are wonderful writers and very helpful and Jon can tell you who's meeting where as far as writers meetup groups. :)Hope that helps and it was great meeting you the other night. I look forward to working with you and hopefully getting some of your scripts made into film. :)Tammy
Hi Sean:) Sorry we didn't get to officially meet! Yeah, I have a tendancy to bounce around a bit. Scott should know better and hold me still for long enough to make a new friend;) I hope you had as much fun as I did on Friday. I'm sure we'll meet again!
Hey filmixers...
Balanced Pictures is my creative outlet for narrative film making. My goal is to produce super small budget webisodic productions with minimal cast and crew. Always looking for others in front of and behind the camera...
