Marc Lougee has over 20 years’ experience directing animation and visual effects on television series, pilots, commercials and music videos. Recent projects include directing CG dinosaur and visual effects integration on “Dinosapien", a live action/CGI series co-production for BBC /DiscoveryKids (15 x 22 min.). Other projects include the stop motion animated comedy series "What It's Like Being Alone" for the CBC as Episode Director & series Creative Producer (13 x 22 min.), MTV's "Celebrity Deathmatch" as Director of Animation in New York (52 episodes x 22 minutes), and the BBC's "Ace Lightning" television series as Director of Animation (13 x 22 min.).

Marc directed and co-produced (with Producer Susan Ma) the award-winning short film, "The Pit and the Pendulum", executive produced by animation legend Ray Harryhausen (Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, 20 Million Miles to Earth, Clash of the Titans) and Fred Fuchs (Francis Ford Coppolla's Dracula, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, former president of Zoetrope Studios).
Since it's premiere, "The Pit and the Pendulum" has been chosen as an Official Selection in over 160 film festivals worldwide, garnering several awards and nominations, including Best Animated Film at Miami Shorts International Film Festival, Best Adaptation at the International Horror & Sci Fi Film Festival, Best Animated Short Film at the DragonCon Film Festival and Best Animated Film at the HD Fest Awards.
Upcoming shows in 2008 include dates in London, Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo & Kyoto Japan, Macedonia, Canada, and several shows in the US, to be announced in the near future on the film blog-

I saw the original "The Pit and the Pendulum" and if this is anything like it, then you will have a hit. My husband and I thought the original was scary for it's time when it came out. So good luck. I hope that maybe we can work together sometime.
