- Started acting in the late seventies. Made his first film at 12 years old. Worked in front of the camera until 1990, at which point he got married, got a "real" job, and embarked on a life as a software development executive. After three successful companies and more than two dozen products, Jon realized he missed the creativity in his life. He went back to film, this time behind the camera.
It started as just an outlet, a hobby, but Jon kept learning. He wrote, he directed, he created. After dozens of short films (his and those of others) and four features (someone else's), Jon got the ultimatum: "Make another short film and I kill you."
Well, that was motivation enough.

Long night shoot
Well, we had a long night shoot. We got started late due to circumstances beyond our control. Damn circumstances.
We only had two scenes to do, but it was eight and a half (8 4/8) pages. And since it was mostly dialog, we had to run it over and over again for coverage. Our two leads worked tirelessly (well, ok, they were pooped). We all were, but it's some gorgeous footage... and we even did two effects shots (pulled out an eye and stabbed a hand).

Day 4 at Match.Dead -- Doom and gloom?
I just have to give props to my team on Match.Dead. Everyone is pulling together and just making things happen.
For example, today we had a day player call our AD at 6:30 AM (her call) and say that she had just woken up and was, obviously, running late. This character was in every scene we filmed today. Did we just sit around? No, we prepped shots and equipment that we didn't need until after lunch. We broke down scenes into portions we could film without her (mostly inserts), rehearse

Everything's A-OK here...still on the radio every morning and traveling quite a lot (am back home in NYC through New Years now) last week London, week before Osaka and played 2 prison shows in SF the other day.
