I write inspirational books, at least this first series deals with the faith of a diverse group of women from around the world. The series is called "Gardens of Grace" and the first book is entitled "Women of Courage", The second book is "Women of Faith" and the third is "Women of Grace".
"Women of Courage" is a compilation book of 23 women, some of whom are more well known than others. People like Rosa Parks, Martha Washington, Corrie Ten Boom and my favorite Sojourner Truth who was a freed slave who was just an incredible woman way beyond her time. I'd love to write a screenplay about her life...it would be interesting to cast because she was six feet tall! Wow!
I see you're from Warsaw...in my second book I've included a story about a woman named Irena Sendler who rescued 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto. She was found out and sentenced to die, but the underground group that she was with, the Zegota, bribed a guard to release her...which he did by driving her out to a deserted road and knocking her onconcious. Irena actually went back into the Ghetto and worked dilengently to smuggle these precious babies and children out to safety. Irena is still alive at 98 years old, living in a Warsaw nursing home.
