About Me:
Growing up an avid storyteller, James first fed his creative hunger through art, writing, illustrating and self publishing a short comic series for sale at his local Elementary School.

James never outgrew his creativity or ambition, and after getting his first taste of filmmaking in High School, was hooked on the medium and began pursuing every avenue that would give him a better understanding of the medium. This lead him to taking screenwriting classes under the guidance of Max D. Adams (Excess Baggage, One For The Money). Next, James enrolled at Toronto Film School, but quit after only three terms, realizing his place was on set, not in the classroom.

James is the co-owner/operator of Rule Five Productions with business partner and Producer Yaw Attuah. He is also the Development Manager with Raindance Canada, where he uses his out-of-the-box approach to develop new and interesting ideas for the company.

James has directed several promos and music videos, and recently wrote and directed two short films, Trigger and In Between Dreams, which have begun touring the festival circuit. He is currently in development of this third, currently untitled, film.

My pleasure James. Glad the site is helping with the networking for Cannes. It's a big gathering, and I'm sure it would help if a small group did some pre-networking before heading out. I'm looking to go sometime the following year.

Maybe we'll meet sometime in the not too distant feature.

Thanks for the input James - I've been meaning to do this. Editors are critical to the story telling process, and they deserve a forum as well. Thanks for keeping me honest.
