Marc,

What's the difference between stereoscopic and anaglyphic imaging? I tried rendering out animation in anaglyphic but I hate those red/cyan glasses, they were very uncomfortable to my eyes after 5 minutes. I couldn't imagine wearing them for 100 minutes.

So is stereoscopic the process that uses the polarized glasses? Or no glasses at all? I know what stereoscopic means but which process is Quantel using exactly?

I was designing a feature project using Lightwave backgrounds (elements 1/2 completed so far) using live actors shot against a green screen. That really lends itself well to rendering in 3D but in the tests I did, all the subtle, photo-real aspects of the cg work were washed out by the anaglyphic process, pushing every color detail toward the cyan and the red. Ugh! So I abandoned the idea of stereoscope.

Is there a better way to get stereoscope than anaglyphic?
