Are people up and open to bouncing ideas off one another? I know people are touchy when it comes to people stealing their ideas, I would like to think there is some professionalism. Maybe we can set up a place where people can read scripts and give feedback. I know it'll help me and my writing. I'm also always looking for stuff to direct and produce... and it all starts with a great script...
I'm into anything, I'm trying to think of a low concept feature, not entirely sure on the genre, doesn't matter as long as the idea is solid. Things like "Phone Booth", "Clerks", "Unknown" are what's drawning me right now... as much as I wanna do "LOTR" or "The Borne Utimatum" I just can't get that kind of money YET, but successfully putting a low concept film in the can will help get bigger projects
So I'm open, if you have a few ideas, we can start e-mailing, and discussing,... I am very open to a collaboration
I'd be up for discussing ideas as well. Personally, I work mostly with sci-fi, fantasy, and horror.
I don't think posting scripts for all to read is a good idea, unless it isn't something you intend to ever develop. Unfortunately, all it takes is one rotten apple.
The night was............the night............was............uhhhhmmmmm
I'm no patent or copyright clerk, but I would hazard to guess that anything posted here would probably be considered public domain from here on out if it isn't already registered. Anyone on the internet who comes across this site would not be held to any sort of ethics statement or loyalty. Those of us discussing topics should be wary of discussing anything they have not already copyrighted, unless you don't plan on developing it like stated earlier.
Again this is just my humble opinion.
Now all that being said, it would be pretty interesting to see what the community would come up with. It might be a fun little brainstorming experiment.
The night was still and quiet. Until all of a sudden......it became a little bit more still and quiet. Then all of a sudden, it was less still and quiet then it was before. But to everyone's amazement, the oddest thing happened............................................................
I agree, but starting by building some interest on here once something works with screenwriters here on this forum, move on to e-mail... as much as I would love to think that everyone is good, the producer in me is telling me not to be a fool. But, as I said, get an idea on here then move on to e-mail... this could work
You're right, I was thinking that too. That once you get something going, move to a secured line. The only downfall is that you have a snippet out there in the public eye. But I think the brainstorming would be well worth the risk.
Don't know if anything else has been done with this yet, but I wouldn't mind tossing ideas around with you guys. I always welcome fresh eyes for my stuff.
I don't have a script yet but I think I have just written a book that has " best movie " written all over it.
I would love to have someone create a script. I will gladly send a copy of book.. I wrote it as a novel but I think I made it a very easy task to scriptwrite
At 73 and Parkinson I don't have a lot of time so let's get a winning team and produce a movie that will blaze a trail of fire across the screen.
Unfortunately I've been through this before. Look at the dates of the replies . The last one was in April ????????? Hey guys let me know if anybody really cares out there???????????
I saw your post, but unfortunately I am currently working on some of my own projects and not picking up others. Just a question, but if you have already written the novel, why not take a crack at writing the screenplay?
